Our story / Chakwal, Pakistan

A mosque. A village.
A family’s beginnings.

Remembering Anwar Khwaja and the place at the heart of our family’s history.

01 / Our beginnings

At the heart
of Anwarabad.

A family story begins with the people and places we remember.

Anwarabad is named in honour of Anwar Khwaja, our great-grandfather: a spiritual man remembered by our family with love and respect.

According to family recollections, he built the mosque in the 1940s, and the surrounding community grew around it. It remains the starting point for the story we are gathering here.

Our history is being collected through family memories. Dates and details will be refined as relatives share their recollections.

02 / Our roots

The place behind
the memories.
